Bling bling at Louis Vuitton

Pharrell Williams is the face and designer for the latest and most sparkling jewelry collection at Louis Vuitton, Blason Jewelry set to debut this spring. Pharrell was chosen by none other than Marc Jacobs to work alongside designer Camille Miceliset.

The collection is lusty; Pharrell is hot; and the candle-lit online spot totally seduced me.

Ornaments of a different type

Local designer Natalie Tischler of Ornamental Things has recycled jewelry that I fell in love with yesterday at the Cherrywood Art Fair.

So if you're looking for something beautiful, original, eco-friendly and affordable for that stylish friend? Then to that I say... why not try an elephant wearing boxing gloves on a recycled white chain?

(All above, $58.)

What to do with vintage jewels

I never know how to wear vintage jewels without feeling like I look matronly and a hundred years old.

So I have subscribed to a new mag, Blueprint, and they have all these do-it-yourself ideas. Which I like but I'm picky.

Here are the above ideas:
Vintage necklace as a strap;
Vintage brooch on a ribbon as a bracelet (my least fave- it looks a little too homemade); and
Vintage bracelet as belt (really great if done well).

What have we here?

Louis Vuitton is showing earrings worn atop one's ear.

The simple clear ones at the top are actually different and interesting and...dare I say...wearable?

First the bags and now this? Looks like Louis Vuitton was inspired by kindergardeners. These earings will be out before they're even in.

And what's the story behind the veils?
